How to share a contact from an Android phone

This short guide is a reference tool to help refresh your knowledge or practise what you have learned in the How to share a contact from an Android phone online video course.

Step by step

You can share the contact from your Android phone to another phone via a text message or SMS by following the steps below:

From the Apps screen, tap the Contacts icon to open the app.
From your Contacts list, find the person whose details you want to share and tap on their name.
Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the contact card.
From the pop up that displays, tap Text.
From the Share menu, tap the Messages icon to open the app.
You can add a recipient by tapping the magnifying glass icon to search your contact list or enter a new phone number. You can also scroll the contacts list and tap on a contact to select it.
Tap the Next button.
A message appears with the recipient and the contact details you want to share. Tap the SMS arrow to share it.
