How do I access online services in Queensland?

The Queensland government website at qld.gov.au is a portal to all online government services. It also has lots of information and useful guides for how to access these services.

You can also visit qld.gov.au/services/mobile for a list of the Queensland government online services apps. Each app is for accessing a specific government service or seeing a specific kind of information.

If you can't find what you need on the website or by using an app, you can always call a representative to help you.

The number is 13 QGOV (13 7468).

Your QDI account

Some government services ask you to log in as a proof of identity. When you access one of these services, you’ll be guided through the steps to create a Queensland Digital Identity (QID) account. You’ll need to:

  • enter an email address
  • choose a strong password
  • provide a mobile phone number to receive a confirmation code via text.
Your QDI account replaces your QGov account, if you have one. Your QGov account may have been converted into a QDI, but you might need to verify your identity the next time you access online services.

Using QDI to prove your digital identity

Some government services require you to prove your identity using documentation. Once the documents are verified, they are registered with your QDI account and you won't need to provide them again.

If you need help with your Queensland Digital Identity, you can call 1800 000 658 or visit a customer service centre.

Essential services you can access via qld.gov.au

To access a service, click For Queenslanders at the top of the page, then choose a category from the panel that opens. Some example categories include:

  • Your rights, crime and the law
  • Transport and motoring
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Homes and housing

What to do if you get lost

If you’re ever unsure where you are on the website, click the Queensland Government coat of arms symbol in the top left of the page. This will take you back to the qld.gov.au home page.

Some services take you to other websites

Some of the services on qld.gov.auare hosted on other government websites.

You can tell when you’re being directed to another website, because the address in your web browser’s search bar will change.

If you don’t want to go to another website, click the Back button in your web browser.

Finding petrol prices near you

To see a list of websites and apps that report petrol prices in Queensland, visit the Queensland government's Fuel reporting web page. These fuel price websites and apps aren’t associatedwith the Queensland government.

Using the Queensland Savers website to find rebates and concessions

Visit the Queensland Savers website to see concessions and rebates in one convenient spot. Choose a rebate category at the top of the page to see more information. For example:

  • Energy and water has information about saving money on your gas and electricity bills
  • Transport concessions is the category for saving money on rail travel and taxis, as well as vehicle registration.

Finding lost or unclaimed money

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission’s (ASIC) MoneySmart website at moneysmart.gov.au helps you claim lost money. This can be from such things as lost bank accounts, shares, investments, and life insurance policies. The MoneySmart website also explains how to use my.gov.au and the ATO, to claim lost superannuation.
