Remote access scamA scam that works by a criminal contacting their intended victim via phone, SMS or email falsely claiming to be a reputable or familiar company with the aim of obtaining their personal details. |
Right clickA single click on the right hand button or corner of a mouse that usually performs a special task or displays a particular menu in a computer program. |
Robot callAlso called 'robocall'. A phone call (often used by scammers) that delivers pre-recorded messages through auto-dialling millions of people per day. If you answer the phone and hear a pre-recorded message, you are listening to a robot call. |
Romance scamA scam that works by a criminal adopting a fake online identity to gain a victim's trust and affection under the illusion of romance. |
