Using the Medicare Express Plus app main menu
This short guide is a reference tool to help refresh your knowledge or practise what you have learned in the Using the Medicare Express Plus app main menu online video course, including:

Getting started with the Medicare app
Before using the Medicare app, ensure you have:
- a myGov account set up
- your myGov account linked to Medicare via the myGov website
- a myGov PIN set up.
This demonstration uses the app on an Android phone, and the steps will be similar on an iPhone.
Exploring the main menu
To access the main menu of the Medicare app:
- From the Home screen, tap the Medicare icon to open the app.
- On the Welcome back screen, tap the green Sign in as yourself button.
- Enter your myGov PIN and tap Sign in to access the main menu.
- The main menu displays your name and the last time you used the app.
- Below the welcome message, you'll find the Tasks area, where you may see important messages from Medicare.
- The rest of the menu is divided into Claims and Services:
- Claims: Make a claim, view recent claims, or view claims history.
- Services: Change personal details, check your vaccination record, and access MyMedicare.
- At the bottom of the screen are three icons:
- Home icon: Tap to return to the main menu from any screen.
- Card icon: Tap to view your Medicare card, including details such as your Medicare number and expiry date.
- Advanced menu icon: Tap to access a list of other app features.
Viewing and editing personal details
- In the Services section of the main menu, tap My Details to see your personal information.
- Scroll the page to view all details, such as address, phone numbers, bank details, and email.
- To change any information, tap the green Edit button under the section you want to change.
- When finished, tap the close button (marked with an X) to return to the main menu.
Always keep your personal details up to date in the app to ensure you receive the correct Medicare services.
