Checking fuel prices with RACV

The Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) provides a handy free service for you to check fuel prices, whether locally or in preparation for a trip.

Type racv.com.au in the address bar of your web browser and press Enter, to visit the RACV website. When the page loads, click Fuel Prices in the top right.

The fuel prices page includes an interactive map. Enter your postcode to see petrol prices near you.

Along with the highest, lowest, and average prices, RACV provides a very useful don’t pay above price.

Visiting Seniors Online Victoria

The Victorian government has a special website for seniors called Seniors Online, where you can find out about getting a Seniors Card.

This site also has a huge amount of information and offers for seniors, and a Discount Directory which lets you search for discounts and offers from businesses throughout Victoria.

Look for the Popular pages section at the top right of the site, and then click on Check the discount directory. You can then search by keyword or click any category to see current discounts.

Well done!

This is the end of the Discovering everyday savings activity. You’ve learned how you can access government websites to help you save money on your regular expenses.

Up next, the Claiming rebates and lost superannuation activity will show you how to find government rebates for things such as gas or electricity, and how to apply for them.
