Welcome to the "How to block an email in Microsoft Outlook" video course. In this video, you'll learn how to block unwanted emails in Outlook web mail. This demonstration uses the Chrome browser on a computer, but the steps are similar on a mobile device.
From your Inbox, click on an email from the sender you want to block, to view the message. In the top right of the email, click the More menu. It looks like three horizontal dots. From the dropdown menu that appears, scroll down to find Block. A side panel will appear showing Block and the sender's name. Click on it.
A pop up will ask if you want to block all future messages from the sender. Click the OK button to confirm. The email is deleted from your Inbox, and future emails from that sender will be directed to the Junk email folder. This helps keep your Inbox clutter-free and only for messages that matter to you.
A sender won't know that you've blocked them, and it may take a couple of days before you stop receiving unwanted emails from them.
