Welcome to the "How to connect a device to your Android phone via Bluetooth" video course. In this video, you'll learn how to set up your Android phone so it can play music wirelessly to a Bluetooth device, such as a pair of headphones, a speaker, TV, or your car's audio system.
From the Apps screen, tap on the Settings app. Tap Connections at the top of the screen. Tap on Bluetooth to open the Bluetooth screen, then tap the switch to turn Bluetooth on. Some nearby Bluetooth devices may appear under Available devices, and you can tap on one to start connecting. For this demonstration, we are going to connect some headphones that aren't on the list.
First, the Bluetooth device must be in pairing mode or discovery mode. The process is usually simple, but varies depending on the device. Follow the steps to start pairing mode for your device, then tap Scan in the top right of the screen. Your phone will search for the device, and once found, the device name will appear under Available devices. Tap on the name to pair the device with your phone. Then tap Pair in the pop up at the bottom of the screen to confirm. The device name will appear under Paired devices with a message that it's ready to use with your phone.
