Search using the address bar
At the top of all web pages in browsers (e.g. Edge, Chrome or Safari) is a long, rectangular box known as the address bar.
You can use this address bar to search for information on the internet. In this course, we show you how.
Below you will find three different ways to learn how to search using the address bar. You can:

At the top of your web browser is an address bar. You can use this to search the internet.
Use your mouse to move the cursor on top of the address bar. Left click once on the address bar. Look for the blinking vertical line inside the address bar to know that you can start typing.
Use the keyboard to type what you want to search for. Press the Enter key on your keyboard to see the search results.
Let's do another search. Move your cursor on top of the address bar again. Left click once on the text in the address bar. This will highlight it. Press the Delete or Backspace key on your keyboard to remove the text.
As you type what you want to search for, a list of suggestions will appear below the address bar. You can move your cursor on top of one of these suggestions.
Left click once to see the search results for the suggestion.
